The Department of Radiology and the Siemens Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Research and Development Team offer TECH SMaRT – a customized magnetic resonance (MR) training program in cardiovascular imaging. The four-day course consists of both lectures and hands-on scanning of volunteers. All course content is provided under the guidance of cardiovascular MRI technologists and attending radiologists at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Siemens Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Research and Development team.

Advances in MR hardware and imaging techniques have opened new opportunities for cardiovascular applications. TECH SMaRT is designed for users with a strong working knowledge of the Magnetom MR system and Syngo MR software. The course provides in-depth and diverse exposure to all of the basic cardiovascular applications of the Magnetom MR system. Techniques examined include:
